Time Warps, from Algebra to Algorithms

چکیده

Graded modalities have been proposed in recent work on programming languages as a general framework for refining type systems with intensional properties. In particular, continuous endomaps of the discrete time scale, or warps, can be used to quantify growth information course program execution. Time warps form complete residuated lattice, residuals playing an important role potential applications. this paper, we study algebraic structure and prove that their equational theory is decidable, necessary condition use real-world compilers. We also describe how our universal-algebraic proof technique lends itself constraint-based implementation, establishing new link between universal algebra verification technology.

Time warps

I reconsider asymmetrically warped compactifications, in which time and space have different warp factors. I call such compactifications time warps if the bulk geometry has neither entropy nor temperature. I provide an example starting from an asymptotically AdS5 spacetime where the speed of light, measured in a fixed coordinate system, is larger near the boundary than it is deep in the interio...

Algorithms and computer algebra from particle physics

I report on two programs, “gTybalt” and “nestedsums”, which were originally developed for the calculation of quantum loop corrections in particle physics. However, these programs solve tasks, which are not specific to particle physics. The first one, “gTybalt”, is a free computer algebra system based entirely on open-source code. The program is build on top of other packages. It offers the poss...
